Flood Overcome Pandeglang, Dompet Dhuafa Distributed Aid

PANDEGLANG, INDONESIA – Dompet Dhuafa distributed aid in the Pagelaran village, in the district of Pagelaran, Pandeglang, Banten province, Tuesday (9/4 /). The region has again been by hit by more floods.

The assistance given in the form of food packages, mineral water, clothing and warm shelters. Adi Sumarna, from Disaster Management Centre (DMC) Dompet Dhuafa’s rescue team at the site reported that aid coming from donors have been channelled directly to the people affected by floods, precisely those in RT01 and RT 02 RW 03, in the eastern side of the Village.

“Thanks to the donors, volunteers and all those who have contributed, materially and physically in assisting the residents whose homes have been flooded,” said Adi Sumanarna, the ‘coordinator of action’ in the Pandeglang flooding.

Based on data collected by the team on the field, floods in Pandeglang, Banten province, it is known that 900 houses that belong to 1200 families from 6 villages are immersed by the flood water. Flooding over the weekend has hit five districts, namely the district of Labuan, Pagelaran, Sukaresmi, Cikedal, and Patia. (gie/AB)
